On March 7th, 2007, Dongfeng Honda Automobile Co., Ltd announced completion of its 120,000 units engine production line construction and launch of production. 120,000 units engine production line construction project is the follow-up project of Dongfeng Honda to support its 120,000 units PV production capacity project. The project started construction on December 12th, 2005 and since June of 2006, engine production toolings had been installed and various adjustment work initiated. Completion of the 120,000 units engine project showed that Dongfeng Honda has formed a full value chain production capability with a complete manufacturing process. Meanwhile, it marks that Dongfeng Honda has acquired such high-tech manufacturing capability asengine production. Dongfeng Honda has therefore become the first whole vehicle manufacturer in Wuhan area which can internally and locally provide engine supply for its own PV manufacturing , which is sure to largely enhance the Company's comprehensive competitive edge in the highly competitive Chinese automobile manufacturing industry.
