(Hong Kong, May 19 2006) Dongfeng Motor Group Company Limited ("DFG", stock code:0489) announces today an official launch of "Dongfeng Kinland" heavy-duty truck series by Dongfeng Commercial Vehicle Company ("Dongfeng CV Company") under Dongfang Motor Co., Ltd. (a joint venture of DFG and Nissan Motor Co., Ltd) after three year's R&D. This earmarked a breakthrough in DFG's strategy of commercial vehicles and a milestone for entering into the heavy-duty truck market. The leading position of DFG in the PRC CV market will be secured and enhanced."Dongfeng Kinland" heavy-duty vehicle production line covers two platforms, 3 varieties, 11 series and 51 models. Due to the introduction of the new product, the power of Dongfeng heavy-duty trucks will increase from 280 horsepower to 420 horsepower. A perfect heavy-duty truck production line will be established covering various power sectors and sub-divided markets.The body of "Dongfeng Kinland" heavy-duty truck series was jointly developed, designed and manufactured with Nissan Diesel Motor to make the seating room more spacious and comfortable with globally-advanced technology. Meanwhile, "Dongfeng Kinland" has passed the collision experiment under the European heavy-duty CV passenger protection standard with high safety. In addition, it has introduced that new dCi11 engine of Renault. dCi11 engine, a model of big-power fuel-saving engine, has combined a series of new development and design concepts with low fuel consumption, featuring the minimal fuel consumption of only 190g/kw.h. Renault engine's durability mileage is one million km. It not only meets the PRC emission standard, but also can be upgraded under the need of the market.
